Sponsored Social: Saving Publishers, Elevating Brands

From Kim Kardashian to the Associated Press, everyone is jumping on the Sponsored Social bandwaggon looking for an opportunity to sell blog posts, tweets, Instagram photos and more. Schram will provide insight on the history of the space, give the LA2M audience a first glimpse at the 2014 ‘State of Sponsored Social’ study and provide his tips for cashing in on sponsored content for publishers and creators alike.

As Chief Operating Officer and Director, Ryan Schram provides organizational and operational leadership for IZEA, servicing the needs of its team members, brand partners, and social influencers across the globe.

Placing company culture and creativity at the center of his approach, Mr. Schram is responsible for the IZEA’s overall operational environment, including the Company’s global client development, marketing communications, human capital and influencer ecosystem organizations. He also leads the Company’s corporate business development growth strategy domestically and abroad. Schram was appointed to IZEA’s Board of Directors in November 2012.

Nearing 15 years of experience in the consumer marketing and technology space, Ryan has an established track record of driving growth, efficiency and profitability for leading-edge companies. In addition to his responsibilities at IZEA, Schram presently serves as an independent Board Member of payment systems innovator Protean, Inc. and as a Senior Advisor to StageLeap, a leading customer experience consultancy firm.

Prior to joining IZEA in September 2011 as the Company’s first-ever Chief Marketing Officer, Ryan served as Group Vice President at ePrize (now HelloWorld), the prominent digital engagement agency that was acquired by private equity firm Catteron Partners in August 2012. Previous to ePrize, Mr. Schram held a variety of leadership positions at CBS/Westwood One and Clear Channel Media + Entertainment. His work has been regularly featured in the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, AdAge, PROMO and AdWeek.

A graduate of the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University (B.A., Management), the center of Ryan’s life is his wife, Jamie, and sons Brendan and Colin.
