Nonprofits are changing the world, and we want to help! Google employees from the Ann Arbor, Michigan office will be discussing free Google tools for Nonprofits.They will provide an overview and information on how to apply for two of Google’s free product offerings for nonprofits: Grants and Apps.
– Google Grants: The Google Grants program empowers eligible non-profit organizations to achieve their goals by helping them promote their websites via advertising on Google.com. As a Google Grants recipient, your organization can solicit donations, recruit volunteers, promote events and programs, and much more through Google AdWords ads.
– Google Apps for Nonprofits: Get the power and functionality of Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, and more, all for your non-profit. With Google Apps, your non-profit organization can decrease its total cost of ownership and offer staff the very latest innovation from Google. It’s quick and easy to get started even if your non-profit doesn’t have a dedicated IT staff.
Colby Chilcote has worked as an AdWords Account Strategist in Google’s Ann Arbor office since 2007, specializing in business to business and industrial markets. She is currently working on the Get Your Business Online program, promoting free websites to small businesses across America. She devotes much of her time to the office’s various community affairs initiatives focusing special attention on helping nonprofits better utilize online technologies.
Elyse Guilfoyle graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in English Language & Literature and Communications Studies. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Policy at the University of Michigan while working as an AdWords Account Strategist at Google. Elyse has been a member of the Ann Arbor Google team for five years. Before Google, she worked in marketing and communications for the automotive industry in Dearborn.
