There is a last minute change to the LA2M program. Our planned speaker, Matthew Growney will be rescheduled for 2012.
Today, one of LA2M’s founding members, Ross Johnson, will be leading the discussion on key elements of design that will make or break your marketing.
Ross’s extensive experience in creative design, web development and internet marketing has placed him at the core of the Ann Arbor business community. He is a classically trained designer turned web guru. Ross built his first website in 1995; he has been captivated ever since. He brings clear thinking, a holistic understanding of the web, and a good sense of humor to every project.
He founded successful 3.7 Designs in 2004. 3.7 DESIGNS is a web design and web strategy company. 3.7 DESIGNS focuses in not only the design of interactive web sites, but also the marketing of them, including search engine optimization, search engine marketing, social media, pay per click, etc. Johnson has designed for a wide range of clientele and situations ranging from small start-ups, municipalities, schools and multinational corporations. Additionally he maintains several popular design and web related blogs.
Ross is entrenched in the SE Michigan digital marketing community and has taught and spoke web design for three years at industry conferences and college courses. He is a part-time instructor at Washtenaw Community College, currently teaching design for the web, and board member of the Washtenaw Community College Internet Professionals Program.
He co-hosts Web Axe, a podcast and blog dealing with website accessibility. It was nominated for “Podcast of the year” in .net magazine’s 2008, 2009 and 2010 Best of the Web awards. He is also co-founder of WordPress Ann Arbor, monthly networking, education and sharing event in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
For Ross the road to success is a simple one; dedication to lifelong learning, and the empowerment of others.
