He will share case study examples of online an in-person social media campaigns and events where he has integrated Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, SlideShare and Pinterest.
Leveraging his 7,000 Twitter followers, Mark has conducted social media experiments to prove how the proper alignment of ‘1 relevant tweet, on a relevant topic, to a relevant following’ can generate 50 or more click-throughs to view online destinations.
Mark is a frequent guest host for live Twitter chats within the design community. He has conducted TweetUps for major brands including Formica Group and KraftMaid Cabinetry. He is currently managing the social media campaign for Green Builder Media’s VISION House in INNOVENTIONS, at Epcot Theme Park, in Walt Disney World.
Mark Johnson FAIA is principal of MARKITECT.me, a consulting practice focusing on marketing, education, and social media for the design and building products industry. He is a FAIA architect, AIBD Professional Building Designer, and NKBA Certified Kitchen Designer. In 2002, Mark was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows for his pioneering work in AIA continuing education. He holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and MBA degree from Washington University in St. Louis, as well as a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from UCLA.
